A Message from the President:

Welcome to the official site of the Association of Boxing Commissions, "ABC". The ABC draws its membership from state and tribal boxing commissions from the United States and Canada. I hope you will find this website a useful tool to you which provides information on the regulation of boxing in the US and Canada. Contact information for each boxing commission which is a member of the ABC can be found on this website.  I hope that you enjoy the new look to our website, we recently added extra space to provide more information and an update scheduled official’s training seminars.

We have recently added a new feature to our website which lists the medical requirements for each commission in the United States and Canada. If you are a boxer over the age of 35, please contact the individual commissions for additional medical requirements.

We are currently planning for our annual meeting to be held at the Delta Hotel in beautiful Montreal, Quebec, Canada.  The meeting will be held July 2 – 5, 2008.  At that meeting, our new Mixed Martial Arts Record Keeper, MMA, LLA, owned by Kirik Jeness and Gabe Smallman will be introduced to the entire membership. It is our goal to have their record keeping database up and running by that time.  Both Kirik and Gabe have made a commitment to build this database to fit our needs for the future.  The marriage, if you will, between our groups will be one of the most historic moments in the young history of Mixed Martial Arts.  Stay tuned for rapid changes in the tracking of MMA events and results.

Also, at this meeting John McCarthy, will be provided a training seminar for all Mixed Martial Arts Judges and Referees, the first of its kind at an ABC Meeting.

I hope that you will use this website as a quick information source regarding the regulation of combative sports in the United States and Canada.  Please provide feedback to me regarding any suggested changes to make the website more user friendly.
